Red Island is a favorite for couples who want a ceremony surrounded by pine forest and open sea. A short ten-minute ferry ride from Rovinj's Old Town, it's perfect for guests who don't mind a little adventure on the way to the celebration. Light filtering through the pines and turquoise water in the background create images that feel like a postcard, yet completely natural.
St. Catherine Island offers a quieter, more intimate alternative to Red Island — ideal for smaller ceremonies and couples who want a real sense of privacy. Lush greenery, historic villa architecture, and views of Rovinj from the water make this location especially photogenic in the late afternoon light.
Rovinj's Old Town, with its narrow stone streets and the Church of St. Euphemia dominating the skyline, is one of the most recognizable backdrops in Istria. Golden hour on the waterfront, when the sun bathes the façades in warm tones, is the perfect moment for couple portraits after the ceremony, with seagulls and fishing boats adding an authentic atmosphere.
Punta Corrente Forest Park, part of the well-known Golden Cape, offers a completely different mood — a dense pine and cypress forest that stretches down to the sea. It's ideal for couples who want a natural, almost fairytale-like setting away from the crowds, with plenty of room for spontaneous, relaxed photographs.

Puntulina is a restaurant carved directly into the cliffs below the Old Town, known for one of the most beautiful sunset views in all of Istria. It's less suited to the ceremony itself, but perfect for cocktail hour or romantic couple portraits as the sun sinks into the Adriatic.
